About the artist

Aleksandra Staniorowska (b. 1990, Wrocław) is a Polish contemporary painter who graduated from the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław in 2017. Her distinctive practice explores the relationship between abstraction and realism, often depicting sculptural, flowing draperies against minimal backgrounds. She was a finalist in the New Image, New Perspective competition and the 2018 Promocje Young Painting Review. Her work has been exhibited in Poland and internationally, earning several distinctions, including awards at the 2020 Dystans Art Competition.
