About the artist

Anna Alicja Trochim (b. 1952, Sokółka) is an established Polish painter specialising in geometric abstraction. She graduated with distinction from the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw in 1977, studying under Professor Stefan Gierowski. A co-founder of Warsaw’s Galeria Delfiny and the artistic group Via Varsovia, she has held over 40 solo exhibitions internationally, including in Paris, Stockholm, Vilnius, and Buenos Aires. Her paintings explore the interplay of colour, light, and geometric form and are held in museum and private collections, including that of Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands. Her distinctions include the Talens Company Award and prizes at the 1979 Warsaw Young Artists Festival.
